One Deck Session At Electrik

This Sunday, 28th March, catch us down at electrik in Chorlton for another one deck session. This time we'll be joined by electrik's very own Reinder. Expect the usual One Deck/Broken Biscuit Club experience i.e. music across the board. If you haven't been down before see the video below for an example of what to expect.

If you can't make it down try checking out our compilation in the juke box at electrik - our friends electrik part II. You can also check it out via our youtube channel if you want to do it 21st century style!

Jump Back

As we haven't posted that much recently we're going to do a youtube blitz today and post loads of tracks that we like.

B.I.G. - Juicy

Mtume - Juicy Fruit

First up is Notorious B.I.G. with his track "Juicy". 13 years ago yesterday (March 9th 1997) Biggie was killed in a drive by shooting and to honour his contribution to hip hop, and music in general, here's one of his biggest hits. Plus it gives us an excuse to post Mtume's track "Juicy Fruit" the track that was sampled for the B.I.G. track and one of our fav 80's tracks.

Untold - No One Likes A Smart Arse

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out (Instrumental)

Next up is Untold with "No One Likes A Smart Arse" from the Gonna Work Out Fine EP which was one of our favourite bits of music last year - club music for the 21st century! A more recent track is the instrumental cut from Tinie Tempah produced by Labrinth. Normally we wouldn't post a number one but I think this track is good for a pop hit. The rapping is not too bad but it's the beat that makes this track so that's why you get the instrumental!

Crosby, Stills & Nash "Dark Star"

Fever Ray

To finish off Crosby, Stills & Nash "Dark Star" and Fever Ray collecting an award from a Swedish awards ceremony. I don't know what it is at the moment but I keep on hearing Dark Star everywhere I go... which isn't a bad thing! The second video features Fever Ray who's 2009 solo album was really good. I'm glad she was given an award and thankfully she did it her own way. It's a shame no one at the Oscars did a similar acceptance speech!
