Future Retro


Where did this come from? King Britt reinvents himself as some kind of retro futurist producing a great EP for hyperdub that fuses John Carpenter, the odder Shuggie Otis tracks and early Autechre. Space Dimension Controller, Symmetry and now King Britt... is everyone making soundtracks for imaginary films? If Ridley Scott does do Blade Runner II then he's got a wealth of artists to choose from to do the score!

Thankfully King Britt et al have kept me occupied whilst Anti-Christ has been on TV... without this retro futurism I could not have made it to the end of the film! Apparently surfing the net is the modern equivalent of putting your hands over your eyes when it gets scary. Every time it looked like there was going to be some disturbing scenes I quickly grabbed the laptop! Lars von Trier's films are getting weirder and weirder (if that were possible!) soon he'll be making films as disturbing as the one below:
