Flash Back Friday - Electric Elephant

As the nights are drawing in we have become nostalgic for those heady summer nights. In the not so distant past we spent a few summers in Croatia, swimming in the Adriatic by day and donning our creative caps in the evenings, at the Electric Elephant festival. The Electric Chair boys swapped the basement for the sunshine and nobody was complaining. We even got involved with the promotional side of things too by creating viral videos as seen above. Curating the festival cinema was a highlight especially when there was a big cheer at the end of Jaws when the shark got his comeuppance. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not but there were definitely less swimmer in the sea the following day! Special mention should go out to Andrew Weatherall who is a true gent and of course the Electriks team. 

We collected loads of super 8 and digital footage that never saw the light of day... until now. Here's some behind the scenes footage that didn't make the final cut and some super 8:

Electric Elephant 2012

Here's the promo we made for Electric Elephant 2012 (this year held at The Garden Tisno, Croatia). The promo consists of super8 and digital footage shot around the festival, the boat party and Nin. The song featured in the promo is Elektrons "Sunshine Love" (Broken Biscuit Club edit).

Electric Elephant 2011

We're back doing our thing in Croatia again this year but this time in July rather than August. If you haven't been to Electric Elephant you are definitely missing out as it's one of the best festivals around. The music is good, the atmosphere is great and the surroundings are spot on. In the evenings we'll be hard at work but during the day you'll find us swimming, relaxing in a cafe or, if you're Spencer, downloading an episode of Mad Men while eating a chocolate croissant. If that's not all the hotel next to the festival site is awash with Russian Mafia wives and misstresses!

Electric Elephant 2010

We'll be heading over to Croatia at the end of August for the Electric Elephant festival held in Petrcane. As well as doing projections for the festival we will be taking some time off to enjoy some of the great acts that have been booked. For more information check out their website - Electric Elephant.
